There is rarely a dull moment when Carl Hooker (@mrhooker) is around, so we expect he’ll be the perfect emcee for tomorrow’s Tech & Learning Live Boston, which promises to be a day of learning, fun, a bit of relationship counseling, and even some poetry. Carl will kick off the day with his keynote, “Becoming a Marriage Counselor for IT & Curriculum,” where he’ll break out the virtual couch and discuss our issues with each other – including ways to resolve them for the betterment of our students. Then, attendees can choose sessions that include “playgrounds,” where they can try some of the latest edtech gadgets, and panel discussions and workshops on coding, personalized/blended learning, OER, igniting innovation at the district level, and more. Carl will also moderate T&L Live Boston’s first Edtech Poetry Slam, as well as a closing Trivia Game where teams can win prizes that include a Casio LampFree projector XJ-V1 (worth $500!).
