Today's Newsletter: Best of the EdTech Newsfeed
The Tech&Learning newsfeeds are stuffed with some interesting weekend reading. The Denver Post looks at how technology could solve the teacher shortage in rural parts of Colorado: “One-on-one learning is so overrated…Collaborative learning, where minds get together and work out problems, is when the real innovative learning begins,” says STEM SCHOOL’s Gregg Cannady. The Brookings Institute released the final segment of a four part series on the effects of tech in the classroom. The nugget: “With a comprehensive design process that includes learning and pedagogical sciences, and with the right technology, we can develop high-quality virtual learning and assessment experiences that meet the psychometric standards, take advantages of the interactivity and engagement afforded by the digital medium and empower the teachers.” And finally, a little feel good fodder on 50 causes for celebration in the UK edtech space.
