What's Most Important When It Comes To Learning?
What's most important when it comes to learning?
A good teacher?
A motivated student?
Class size?
Of course each of those are important factors, but today there is something equally, if not more important. If teachers don't get on board, they will cease to be relevant. The most important factor for lifelong learning today is this:
Being connected.
Gone are the days where students entered the building, disconnect, and power down. Today's teachers must know how to empower themselves and their students to make the important connections they'll need for success both inside and outside of school. This means teachers understanding how to build global learning networks for themselves and supporting their students in doing the same.
No idea how to get started? No worries. Today marks the release of "The Educator's Guide to Creating Connections." It is a must-read guide for educators who understand the importance of becoming connected through social media, blogging, personal learning networks, and even new policy. Unlike books from the 20th century where authors were mysterious beings writing from Ivory Towers, with this book you're connected to the authors. Have a question about something you've read? Want to discuss it with their author? Just Tweet em and they'll be happy to respond.
Each chapter is written by a education expert with real school experience and their Twitter handle is right there in the book. This is all a part of what it means connected and when you finish reading this book, you will be too.
