Theme Poems is another terrific app available for iPads and Android tablets from the International Reading Association. Elementary school students can choose from a variety of themes and create a poem that takes a shape related to a specific topic. It’s a great tool to use in small groups or stations when exploring poetry with your students. They can work in pairs to bring their writing to life and save the final creations straight to each device.
