Video Review: Futuba, Classroom Quiz Game
Futuba- Classroom Games for Kids- $5.99 – One of the only multi-player apps, allowing up to four players. As teachers are learning the app they can use the given curriculum, but as they become more familiar, they can develop variations to meet the needs of their students.
Teachers can set the filter, level and subject prior to students participating. The game moves rather quickly with students having four choices; if the child answers incorrectly, they cannot try to answer again. Students need to be alert as the topics change throughout the game. Teachers can turn off the music if it is too distracting, and also manage the length of games.
Futuba is designed to support curriculum standards, including the following: lower-case and upper-case alphabet matching, Dolch sight words for 1st through 3rd grades, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, telling time, currency, countries and flags, shapes, animals, foods and others.
