The latest Dell Think Tank was at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I listened and tweeted throughout. Guests at the table included students, educators, higher education professionals, superintendents, tech marketplace professionals and even a tech reviewer… or two. The audience also included some recognizable advocates for education and education technology change. I have to admit that listening and tweeting takes about as much concentration and energy as participating in the conversation. Actually, I felt that I was in the conversation. Good point for doing that sort of thing in regular classrooms. I may have missed some things, but not a lot, and I was really vested/involved in the discussion.
So, when lunchtime rolled around, I was ready for a short break. That didn’t happen. Dell wondered if I’d like to see something new. Anyone who knows me–knows that I cannot resist those offers. While I grabbed a bagged lunch on the go, I didn’t have much time for it. The new Dell Latitude 10 Tablet was waiting for me. Prying it out of the hands of Dell’s master of product planning, Tim Gee, was a challenge–it was his baby. I did get a chance to play with it under his watchful eye–it was quick, slim, cool and responsive with a removable battery.
