Dallas TX, May 14, 2018 – EY today announced that Richard Margolin, chief technology officer and founder of RoboKind, is a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018 Award in the Southwest region. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Margolin was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
RoboKind is a Dallas-based company whose mission is to create cost-effective and inclusive education for all. Working with experts in the autism community and school systems around the world, RoboKind has developed two products, robots4autism and robots4STEM, to give children opportunities to realize their potential and pursue their passions for all things tech related.
“To be named a 2018 Entrepreneur Of The Year finalist is both a great honor and extremely humbling. We set out to change lives when founding RoboKind,” stated Margolin. “There is little in this world more rewarding than watching Milo help a student with autism speak for the first time or Jett foster the next generation of confident, digitally savvy children.”
Now in its 32nd year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countries throughout the world.
Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National competition. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 17, 2018. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
Founded and produced by EY, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards are nationally sponsored in the US by SAP America, the Kauffman Foundation and Merrill Corporation.
In the Southwest region, sponsors also include Colliers International, Haynes and Boone LLP, RHSB, Marquee Event Rentals, Smith Frank & Partners, D CEO Magazine and SocialStrategy1.
