In December, schools and districts were invited to share their technology wishes with CDI for a chance to have CDI’s “Tech Genie” make their wish come true. The submissions poured in. Wishes ranged from equipment such as charging carts, Chromebooks and headphones, to requests for an entire biology lab, a pinball machine for students to dismantle and rebuild, and a set of drones. Some teachers wrote jingles or poems to make their case. CDI used an online random generator to select the winners. Awarded prizes are valued at up to $1,000 each.
“We launched this contest to help more schools and districts reach their technology goals and we were impressed by the number of wishes we received, as well as the variety and creativity of the requests” said Saar Pikar, CEO of CDI. “There were so many worthy entries and we wish we could have granted them all. We’re honored to announce the winning schools and districts and we are looking forward to partnering with them to make their technology wishes come true.”
