Wise Releases Survey Results: What will School look like in 2030?
The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) revealed the findings of a survey conducted amongst the organization’s global network of experts. The findings show that there is an overall preference for schools that incorporate innovative technologies into the learning environment. The survey predicts that major changes are yet to occur and that peer-to-peer learning will continue to coalesce and evolve with technology. Key findings:
■ 93% of experts favor schools that use innovative methods and new approaches to teaching
■ 43% believe that in the future most content will be delivered via online platforms
■ Only 29% see brick-and-mortar schools as the primary means of delivering knowledge in the future
■ 75% believe that personal/interpersonal skills will be the most valued skill set of the future
■ 83% believe that curricula will become more individualized in the future
