published
A great interdisciplinary activity that combines fine art and science. Twenty-five paintings by many artists of the 19th and 20th centuries have many different kinds of clouds depicted as part of the paintings. Find the kinds of clouds that appear in this great art. The cloud finder shows photographs of cloud formations and gives the definition of ten different kinds of clouds. If you click on the “Teachers” link you will find a lesson plan laid out for students grades 2-8. See the summary of the lesson, the student objectives, the national standards addressed, and a list of materials for implementing the lesson.
