But the topic has serious implications: such as, was there freedom of religion in England during the reign of this monarch and that of his successors? This exercise explores the religious turmoil that took place in sixteenth-century England at the time of the Protestant Reformation. It includes a timeline of the many shifts in religious practice that occurred during the reigns of Henry VIII, Mary I, Edward VI, and Elizabeth I.
