Students need to learn how to navigate their world, including how to read, understand, and interpret the advertisements that surround them. This site will expose students to many different types of advertisements. They will learn how to read them and how to distinguish between different types of ads. Students also have the opportunity to analyze advertisements to find examples of persuasive writing, generalizing, exaggeration, and scare tactics through a series of questions and activities. Finally, students can write responses to the ads they have analyzed. Learning to read and interpret advertisements is an important skill in today’s world, one student need to begin developing right away!
