Rocky Point School District, in Rocky Point, New York consists of two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The district's Web site is well designed to meet the needs of parents who are new to the area or district, or who have children attending more than one school in the district. The easy-to-navigate Home page directs parents to answers to general questions about enrollment, calendars, and resources, but also points them to specific schools for more detailed information.
How to use the site:
Parents who want the latest news on topics such as summer school, the Regents Exam, required school supplies for the fall will find all these and more listed under Current News on the district Home page. Students wanting to use resources at both the middle and high school libraries can access both sites here, rather than having to navigate through each individual school's Web site. Teachers can access online resources directly from the Home page. In addition, community members who visit will find links to organizations and information about online community education opportunities offered throughout the school year and summer.
