Brief Description of the Site:
The Ramsey Public School District serves 2,850 K-12 students in Ramsey and Saddle River, NJ. The district's Web site is unusual because of the areas of emphasis. Often district Web sites serve as electronic catalogs, with program overviews and contact information for various departments. In this case, the two primary areas of focus are technology use within the district and individual Web sites for each of the five schools in the district.
How to use the site:
Four areas linked to the Home page provide a clear overview of technology use and examples. Click on Board Office to access the district's technology plan. The Staff Development and Technology links explain the kinds of support available to staff in technology use and include newsletters and tip sheets. Be sure to visit the WebQuest Project link to learn more about using WebQuest and to access dozens of WebQuests created by Ramsey teachers. Each school's Web site is also linked to the district Home page, offering students, parents, and community members quick, easy access to information provided by each school.
