Opposites Attract: Magnets in Action
published
A lesson that uses dance to aid in the understanding of a science principle? Oh yes, it’s true. This lesson plan presents pre-assessment activities, guiding questions, instructional procedures, and post-assessment activities while using dance to show the properties of magnetism and scientific inquiry. The lesson is very detailed in sharing instructional tips and laying out exactly what to do in each of six sessions. There are also ideas for differentiated instruction, extension activities, and ways to connect the lesson with home. Included are additional resources and scoring rubric and student checklists.
