It’s no surprise that an entire week is dedicated to environmental education just before Earth Day. This year the week is April 13-19. The theme for 2014 is Greening STEM: Engineering a Sustainable World. You can download a Greening STEM toolkit that has lessons to use that are applicable to the theme. You can also access the lesson plans from 2012 and 2013. See how mathematics and science mesh perfectly with environmental education to bring real world problems to students. Lots of videos show what individual students and schools are doing to support the environment by using concepts from STEM teaching.
