NASA Solar System Exploration: Uranus
published
Two hundred thirty-three years ago today William Herschel looked up into the universe with his telescope and discovered Uranus, the seventh planet from the sun, which has twenty-seven moons. This terrific site from NASA has all the information you would want to know about Uranus, its moons, rings, and the facts and figures behind this planetary gas giant. See pictures from the Voyager fly-by from 1986, and find an astounding picture of a lunar eclipse captured by the Hubble Telescope in 2006.
