NASA: A Stroll Through the Cosmos

Wonder what all the stars in the sky look like throughout the year on any given day or night? Try this interactive Planisphere to find out! To see what the stars look like at a particular time on a particular day, students can dial the planisphere so that the time on the inner ring lines up with the date on the outer ring. The entire portion of the sky visible at that time of that day will appear through the oval window. Students can use this digital tool as a reference guide as they make observations and make sense of the sky, outer space, and the stars.
