MathMovesUniversity: Working with Data
published
Would you like to give your middle school students lots of practice in working with data? This PDF from MathMovesUniversity, sponsored by Raytheon, has many practice sheets that address all sorts of ways to manipulate data. Practice collecting data and recording it on a frequency table, interpret scattergrams and use the information to look for trends, use a variety of graphs and learn how data can be reflected on each one, and solve word problems with data and graphs. Answer keys are provided. The final part of the packet asks students to collect data and organize it, represent it, and interpret it as practiced previously.
