Brief Description of the Site:
A small part of the Jammin Jobs site, the Student Center is a very valuable asset for 11th- and 12th-graders. It offers a wealth of information about Colleges & Universities, Community Colleges, Fund Your Education, Developing Goals, Job Fairs, the application process (resumés, cover letters, recommendations), the interview, how to negotiate salary, and even the sometimes-mandatory drug test.
How to use the site:
College and Career Counselors will want to have their clients spend some time reading over the very useful information here, both about college and the world of employment. In addition, Language Arts teachers can make good use of the segment on writing resumés and cover letters as well as using the interview segment when conducting mock employment interviews.
