The PBS series "In Search of Shakespeare" provides the background for this site. It contains, among other things, information about all of Shakespeare's plays and links to the complete texts; brief biographies of many people associated with Shakespeare and his times; images of documents related to Shakespeare's life; a timeline of important events in Europe during Shakespeare's lifetime; and much more. This is fascinating material to help students understand who Shakespeare was as well as what he wrote.
