How Human Actions Modify the Physical Environment
How Human Actions Modify the Physical Environment
National Geographic provides a group of lessons that support the Standard: How human actions modify the physical environment. This lesson is geared toward the K-2 grades. You can click for different lesson plans for each grade level. Each lesson is designed to teach students the delicate balance between wildlife and humans. They will answer the question that the current generation faces: What are the long-term effects of human environmental intervention? Lessons study cranes and their migratory patterns, oil spills and contamination, and human manipulation of habitats. Excellent related links are provided for students to use in research.
