Great Educational Web Sites - compiled by Library Media Specialist Phyllis DiBianco of Scarsdale H.S., NY
Brief Description of the Site:
Created by a high school library media specialist, this site seeks to offer resources for educators, parents and students using the Internet. Geared to the high school student, the site nevertheless offers resources with a considerable range. This is a site whose agenda is education driven without any apparent commercial focus, making it useful and worthy of "favorites" status. Math, science, music, art, college applications help files appear with links
How to use the site:
The site is simply presented without bells and whistles for easy access to resources. The home page has "Resources for Using the Internet" and "Subject Sites" as initial two categories. From there the links expand becoming extensive offering links to other sites and a very large range of sub topics. This site has something for everyone in its scope, preferring the simplicity of text on its pages rather than the frills of graphics. That makes the ease of navigation apparent as one conducts one's search.
