Brief Description of the Site:
Designed by a student of Interactive Media in England, this site is aimed at children in learning the basic principles of science. It provides tutorials, drills, and a test. The animated character of Benjamin Franklin brings it all together and hosts and narrates the program. There are different incentives for students to complete tutorials and drills, and the challenge of helping Franklin power a generator by scoring points helps motivate the users.
How to use the site:
Users work through various lab activities with Ben Franklin. Operated by mouse, drag and drop scenarios occur throughout, providing feedback to clarify a user's decision. The site is particularly applicable for early childhood.
