Explore Florida's springs, some of the world's largest freshwater springs. Here is a well-done site that includes information about threats to these unique springs, natural and cultural history, Florida wildlife, underwater cave systems, sinkholes and karst geology. Students will enjoy their virtual dive to the depths of Wakulla Spring where wildlife abounds. Teachers can use this site, sponsored by the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection, to instruct students about concepts related to watershed protection, geology, hydrology and environmental stewardship.
