Brief Description of the Site:
Although she retired from Edwardsburg, Michigan at the end of this last school year, Jill Perkins’ will update her Web site for first-grade students through the 2004-05 school year. The site is a great example of how teachers can use the Internet to showcase student work and share activities and classroom information with parents.
How to use the site:
The Kid’s Art area highlights work done by a variety of students. Parents can keep up with classroom news by reading the Weekly Newsletter and also view photos and read about recent class trips by using the Field Trips link. The Classroom Forms and Testing link leads to a page where parents may download important classroom information available in both MS Word and PDF formats. Teachers looking for good ideas will want to visit the Projects link, which explains and documents three major class projects.
