The brief movie shows how petroleum was formed and how energy comes from the petroleum. Use the interactive to see how the crude oil is distilled into various products by superheating the oil. After the different products are separated out, they are treated in many different ways to to make individual petroleum products. Find out how each product is used at the end of all the refining.
