Dear Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
published
Here’s a five-day lesson plan leading up to Martin Luther King Day on January 19. Your later elementary school and middle school students do research on Dr. King’s life, and examine some of his speeches, legislation that was instrumental during the Civil Rights movement, and the Declaration of Independence as preparation to writing a paper based on one of three student prompts. There is a timeline of some of the important dates in Dr. King’s work in civil rights. Use this link for further exploration: http://content.time.com/time/onedream.
