Conners Emerson is a K-8 public school located on an island off Bar Harbor, Maine. Along with the basics such as school news, schedules, and calendars dates, each teacher has an online space for home/school communication. The site is also used by teachers, parents, and students to access student information through PowerSchool.
How to use the site:
Several of the teachers have done a nice job with their online space. Check out any of the links to fourth grade teachers, or to Mrs. Hurd’s class (6th grade). There are also some interesting links on the Home page. Scroll down to the ConEm Literary Magazine link to review student writing. Then try the Letterboxing link. A popular hobby in England, letterboxing is gaining momentum in the U.S. Creative teachers will find many ways to use this idea with students.
