Vivitek announces new mobile projectors for the classroom
VIVITEK SHIPPING MOBILE PROJECTORS DESIGNED
FOR ECONOMY AND THE ECOLOGY
Big Performance in Small, Smart Packages
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA, February 24, 2009 – Vivitek Corporation, a leader in the environmentally responsible manufacture of today’s most innovative visual display and presentation products, is shipping two new fully featured projectors for the mobile business and education and worship classroom markets. The rich feature sets on the new D825ES and D825EX include Vivitek’s exclusive time and energy saving packages, and as with all of Vivitek’s projector products the new models use the latest DLP technology from Texas Instruments and feature its BrilliantColor initiative for even more exceptional brightness and vibrant hues.
Built for portability, whether it’s on the road or from classroom to classroom, the two new projectors may be small, at only 5.7 pounds, but provide the big performance capabilities of much larger and more expensive units. For all applications demanding high-end performance at an affordable price, the D825ES and D825EX fit the bill, at only $719.00 and $819.00 respectfully, with native SVGA (800 x 600 pixels) and XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) resolutions. Not only do both units shine in full 2600 ANSI lumens of brightness with 2200:1 contrast ratios, but their brilliant image and color results are further enhanced by 5-segment color wheels for even more beautiful presentations and precise color replication.
“These projectors have been built for mobility with performance,” said David Chiu, Vivitek’s president. “We wanted to equip professional presenters with features that would satisfy their unique mobile requirements, all with a care for energy and environmental efficiencies.”
Designed with Vivitek’s continuing consideration for the most cost-effective and ecologically and energy efficient features, the two projectors are both dust- and filter-free, minimizing maintenance and replacement needs and keeping the projector running at top energy efficient levels. For further economy both projectors also have a lower wattage Eco-Mode lamp setting enabling up to 4,000 hours of lowered energy performance for fewer lamp replacements and reduced refuse. For real presenting on the run, the new D825ES and D825EX both employ Vivitek’s exclusive Instant ON/OFF function. This time and energy saving feature allows for immediate performance without warm-up and cool-down periods necessary to protect some projectors. This versatile function is especially critical when accommodating tight classroom or busy conference room schedules. Even the projectors’ single fan is further enhanced with an efficient and quiet Eco-Mode of only 30 decibels.

Vertical digital Keystone correction on both units allows users to manually and easily adjust the image in the most challenging presentation environments, and both units are equipped with built in Kensington security locks to prevent theft or unauthorized removal of the projector. For worry-free connectivity, the new projectors have full video and PC compatibilities and USB and RS-232C communication ports for easy integration into classroom or meeting rooms with white boards or remote control systems.
Availability and Warranty
Vivitek’s D825ES and D825EX are available now through authorized Vivitek dealers nationwide. The projectors both have 3-year limited warranties on parts and labor, a 1-year lamp warranty, and a 5-year DLP chip warranty.
