Tech and Learning wins 2 gold awards from ASBPE
Tech & Learning magazine has been voted a winner twice over in the American Society of Business Publication Editors’ (ASBPE) 31st annual Azbee Awards of Excellence Competition. T&L received the regional gold award for Best How-To Article and Best Special Section for magazines with a circulation over 80,000.
“We are honored to be included with the many prestigious journals recognized by the Azbee awards,” says Kevin Hogan, Editorial Director of Tech & Learning. “The Tech & Learning editorial team has consistently produced quality content for almost 30 years, so it is a fitting tribute that their work is again recognized by the esteemed ASBPE association.”
The Best How-To Article, “Making Students Info Literate,” was written by Tech Forum Program Chair and former T&L Editor in Chief, Judy Salpeter, and appeared in the May 2008 issue. It featured suggestions to “help give…students the basic skills to be both technology-proficient and info-savvy.”
The “Special Needs Guide to Tech Products,” compiled by T&L Managing Editor Christine Weiser, and featured in the October 2008 issue, was given the top award for Best Special Section. The exclusive supplement is a guide to the tools available to help meet the needs of all students.
Tech & Learning also was a finalist in the Western Publishing Association’s 58th annual “Maggie” Awards competition in the following categories: Best Computer Trade Journal, Most Improved Publication, and Best How-To Article for “Making Students Info Literate.”
