Our judges said it has "fantastic battery life," and were impressed by the durability, spill-resistant keyboard, and touch screen.

Judges called the device affordable and versatile, and liked the feature set, especially the light and ability to plug and play.

The judges noted, "This is a good solution for educators who want to integrate 3D printing into their curriculum but aren't sure how. "This is a solid and versatile Chromebook," our judges said. They especially liked the ruggedized features, options for stylus, the world-facing camera, and carry handles.

The cloud-based EarlyBird technology platform includes a game-based app that provides comprehensive, validated student testing, and a dashboard that points teachers to customized action plans and evidence-based resources. "This product addresses, identifies, and assesses dyslexia in even our youngest students using phonological awareness, rapid automatic naming, sound symbol correspondence, and oral language comprehension," said the judges. "Students do not need to be readers to be identified for intervention."

"Its versatile approach provides teachers and students many options, including games, videos, and animation," noted T & L judges.

"This multi subject K-12 media library eliminates the need to use YouTube and other websites that may not be as secure as needed for students," the judges said.

Star’s computer-adaptive tests (CATs) mean that each student’s experience is unique because questions start at grade level and get more difficult as students answer correctly, or less difficult if they answer incorrectly. By eliminating unnecessary questions in this way, Star assesses individual student growth and performance in fewer items and less time than non-adaptive assessments. The judges called it a "great resource."

This would be a great addition to any classroom."
