School Improvement Network has announced the results of a study published in the International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education. The study, sponsored by School Improvement Network, shows a link between professional development and gains in student achievement.
The study measured scores in 169 schools across 19 states and found:
- Math Scores
- On-demand professional learning educators saw an 18.9 percent gain in proficiency scores, as opposed to a 4.2 percent gain in schools without
- Reading Scores
- On-demand professional learning educators saw a 15.3 percent gain in proficiency scores, as opposed to 2.5 percent in schools without
