Max OS X In Panther, go to System Preferences to International. Click on Input Menu > Character Palette > US or whatever language your system uses. Click Show input menu in menu bar. Click on the flag in top menu bar and select Show Character Palette.
In Jaguar the Character Palette in the menu bar is on the left instead of the right.
