SMART and Teq to Provide Software to New York State Schools
SMART Technologies Inc. joins Teq to announce an agreement with the New York State Instructional Technology Contract Consortium through 24 of the Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) of New York State to purchase SMART software under Cooperative Service 6360. The first State-wide agreement of its kind for SMART and Teq, it enables more than 450 school districts, encompassing over 4,000 schools in New York State to purchase the full suite of SMART software from Teq at a preferred, pre-negotiated rate. The districts will be eligible for BOCES aid to help finance their purchases.
BOCES provides shared educational programs and services to school districts in New York State. This agreement with SMART and Teq allows districts to acquire the latest SMART software. It provides access to an unlimited subscription-based teaching, learning and collaboration software package, which includes SMART Notebook 2014 collaborative learning software, SMART amp, a new web-based software platform that can be used on virtually any Internet-enabled device, and SMART Notebook Advantage, an annual maintenance and upgrade package that allows schools and districts to access a suite of plug-ins, widgets, learning content and subject-specific add-ons while using the latest version of SMART Notebook software.
