The Yankton (SD) School District has selected Pearson’s PowerSchool Premier as its new Web-based student information system.
PowerSchool Premier will serve the district's seven schools, which enroll more than 2,900 students from preschool through 12th grade. The district will also introduce PowerTeacher, Pearson's Web-based classroom management solution designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s educator.
Yankton School District selected PowerSchool Premier based on a variety of factors, including ease-of- use, flexibility, Web-based centralized design, the ability to standardize student data districtwide, and its longstanding reputation for success. Implementation should be complete by July.
PowerSchool Premier will serve as the information backbone for the district, providing access to secure, real-time student information through a Web browser to create interactive dialogue among parents, students, and teachers. Additional benefits, such as master scheduling and reporting capabilities, will lend substantial efficiencies to the district.
