Save Image Files On a Corrupt Media Card

published Question: My batteries must have failed as I was taking digital photos, and now I cannot seem to retrieve the images I took. Is there a way to recover these? I know I took many good photos before the battery failure occurred.

Some media card manufacturers offer commercial software for helping recover images from corrupted media. One of these is "Image Rescue" from Lexar, available on Lexar Software The software is compatible with Windows and Macintosh computers, and can recover a variety of image format files from removable media disks.
