ProjectExplorer provides multimedia materials
In order to focus on global education under the Obama presidency, ProjectExplorer is providing students with innovative multimedia materials that can help them discover the "common humanity" they share with other cultures and histories. Over 800 schools currently use the non-profit organization ProjectExplorer to gain access to people and places over the Internet—it's a free "virtual passport" of sorts, designed for both family and classroom use. The organization offers films and programming that cover several subject areas while promoting cross-cultural understanding, and includes suggested lesson plans and discussion topics that encourage parents to become involved with their kids in the learning process.
