Online Schools Keep Organized with Flexible Document Scanning and Sharing
Online charter school Guided Online Academic Learning (GOAL) Academy has deployed EPSON® WorkForce® Pro document scanners to capture data from documents, as well as index and process data.
GOAL comprises multiple locations for administrators and teachers, and must efficiently capture, maintain and share records in order to comply with state reporting requirements. Denver-based Rocky Mountain Microfilm and Imaging (RMMI) equipped GOAL Academy with Digitech Systems’ software paired with Epson’s scanners for a fast and reliable content management solution. GOAL Academy uses PaperVision to capture and send records directly to ImageSilo for secure management in the cloud, making it easy for each location to keep its information organized. Each school is able to manage thousands of records, and has reduced the number of missing documents by 96 percent.
The EPSON WorkForce Pro GT-S50’s one-touch operation allows users to scan a document, pre-populate forms and automatically index information by department, project or other criteria. Fast scan speeds and higher image quality accelerate the process of data input, and contribute to more reliable OCR performance.
“Because our school is not traditional brick-and-mortar, it is crucial to have student records organized, easily maintained and shared,” said Kim Coleman, director of student services/state registrar, GOAL Academy. “The PaperVision software paired with the speed and one-touch operation offered by the EPSON WorkForce Pro GT-S50 scanner has made a significant difference in our capability to manage records.”
