L.A. high school to get $1 million grant

Microsoft is providing The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools a $1 million grant to purchase new software and hardware for Mendez High School, to bring state-of-the-art technology to the campus, along with ongoing technical support, teacher and student training, curriculum, and mentoring opportunities for students to learn about and explore careers in STEM subjects.
Mendez is part of The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, the non-profit school management organization with the purpose of turning around the lowest performing schools and incubating new education models that that can be replicated and scaled throughout Los Angeles Unified School District.
