Katonah-Lewisboro District Selects Satellite Solution for Disaster Recovery
Today Katonah-Lewisboro School District announced the acquisition of the Squire Tech Solutions LLC Business Continuity 600 satellite communications package, providing alternative emergency communications for the K-12 critical administrative location. The selection of Squire Tech came after months of research and analysis of alternative communications options should local telephone, internet, data, and cellular infrastructure become unavailable.
The Business Continuity 600 solution that was selected for the Katonah-Lewisboro school district is a integrated package that provides internet, phones, data, Wi-Fi and wired IP communications via a small roof mounted satellite system. The package can be installed in under a day and provides 50 to 100 times the speeds of residential grade satellite internet.
Michael Zalle, vice president at Squire Tech Solutions LLC says, "We are very pleased to supply our Business Continuity 600 solution to the Katonah-Lewisboro school district. We are impressed with the thoroughness and advance planning vision the district has shown. They are dedicated to be ready for potential natural or man-made events that could affect the ability to ensure student safety."
