Kansas district seeks new IT director

Position Overview
Responsibilities include establishing the mission, vision and multi-year plan for educational technology; managing IT educational data, network services and enterprise systems; ensuring that proper software, equipment, personnel and procedures are in place; evaluating the contribution of technology to student learning; and representing technology needs and plans to the Board of Education and community.
Desired Characteristics and Credentials
The ideal candidate will combine collaborative leadership, communication and management skills; a high level of technical expertise; post-graduate education in technology or a related field, and a record of success as a technology director in a large school system. A Kansas school administrator’s certificate is not required.
Compensation will be in the range of $130,000, including benefit package, with the actual compensation to be based on preparation and experience. The starting date is July 1, 2010 or by mutual agreement. Interested candidates can apply online at www.hyasupersearches.com.
