Intermittent, unrequested laptop screen scrolling
Question: My laptop computer seems to scroll around sometimes when I do not want it to. What is going on?
The IT Guy says:
If you have a trackpad mouse or touchpad mouse, it is possible that your hands are accidentally touching the trackpad, and this is causing the unexpected scrolling. It is not very high tech, but one way to effectively address this (depending on the size of your trackpad and its relative location on the laptop) is to tape a small index card over the trackpad while you are typing. Alternatively, you can try to change the position of your hands and fingers on the keyboard so that they do not accidentally rub against the trackpad and cause the erratic scrolling and mouse movement.
