Illinois district expands interactive video
With over 600 employees, the Park Ridge/Niles School District 64 operates five K-5 schools and two middle schools in Northwest Chicagoland. Named to the 2009 Illinois Honor Roll by the Illinois State Board of Education, the district knows the importance of digital media in today’s classroom.
After an initial implementation in two schools, Park Ridge/Niles School district recently selected an in-classroom content provider for all of its seven schools and 4,400 students.
“We are excited to begin our implementation of New Dimension’s Core Curriculum Content,” said Anthony Clishem, Technology Curriculum Specialist at the district. “We think this resource will provide a great solution for our teachers who wish to bring rich media content into their daily teaching.”
Core Curriculum Content brings interactive video to a variety of subjects, from science to ancient civilizations to America’s historic national parks. Its software helps teachers integrate the content into their lesson plans.
“Park Ridge/Niles has great plans to start incorporating CCC! throughout the district,” said Moira Heffernan, New Dimension Media’s Director of Instructional Technology for Illinois. “I’ve had wonderful experiences working with their first two schools, and I look forward to continuing to support their teachers as they become familiar with the system.”
