HP unveils new education products, solutions
HP released several new products and solutions at the Florida Education Technology conference, including the HP Mini 2140 Notebook PC that was designed with education in mind.
The HP Mini 2140 is highly configurable with an all-aluminum case and a 10.1-inch diagonal scratch-resistant display available in either standard or high- definition resolution. Options include a suite of wireless, multimedia, and security capabilities, various hard-drives, and long-lasting six-cell battery.
The HP Assessment and Grading Solution for Education addresses a diverse set of educational needs, including student Adequate Yearly Progress tracking and individualized curriculum planning that represent major requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. Powered by HP LaserJet Multifunction Printers and HP services, the solution allows teachers to print personalized test answer sheets on demand using cost-effective, plain paper. Teachers also can automate the grading process to establish quick test results and reporting as well as meet their day-to-day printing, copying, faxing, and scanning needs.
The HP dx9000 TouchSmart Business PC allows for intuitive interaction with digital content. HP is working with software partners to develop innovative touch applications for education markets. In addition to its easy-to-use touch screen capability, the all-in-one PC includes the hardware and monitor in one space-saving device, while offering a full suite of software applications and built-in multimedia features.
