The new superintendent of Reedsport School District in Oregon is Larry Horton. He will start on July 1, when Supt. Ike Launstein retires for the second and final time.
Horton, now in his ninth year as Sweet Home School District’s superintendent, has agreed to accept the Reedsport board’s offer of a one-year contract. Horton, who has significant experience as a curriculum specialist, also served as superintendent of Oregon’s Oakridge School District.
