Hard Drive Imaging
Question: Do you know of any software or machine that can be used to copy an image from a new computer setup to be used to reformat other computers when needed?
The IT Guy says:
On the Windows side, “Symantec Ghost Solution Suite” remains a very popular disk imaging solution.
“Acronis True Image 9.0” is also a good option. There’s a variety of free disk imaging solutions also available, and some are listed on “Free Hard Disk and Partition Imaging and Backup Software.”
On the Macintosh side, “Carbon Copy Cloner” is probably the most popular software option available, but it is also possible to use Apple’s Disk Utility for this purpose.
The $20 shareware program “SuperDuper!” is also worth checking out.
