GoGuardian is making it easier to prevent children taking their lives with a free version of its Beacon product for the company’s Admin customers. The software fits all schools and districts, regardless of size, and works with school-issued or managed Windows and Chromebook computers. Designed with the help of mental health experts, Beacon Starter distills the program down to create warnings for the most-dire reviewable suicide triggers from email, social media and online apps. It seeks to find students having trouble coping with the environment or suffering in silence by bringing the warning signs to the surface in Beacon’s Dashboard so an intervention can be made before it’s too late.
