Florida district gets more bandwidth, dollars
published
With 42,000 students and a growing community near the popular Florida coastline, it's not surprising that Manatee County School District decided to modernize its lagging data center. The district integrated its server, storage and networking infrastructure into interoperable pools that can be leveraged on demand by implementing HP Converged Infrastructure solutions.
Before the upgrade, the data center barely provided the necessary bandwidth and IT resources for the 50 schools it supports. Since the upgrade, performance has risen by 50%, and speed and access are improved as well. The move has saved $340,000 per year in service provider costs.
