Excellent Web-based Resources
published
A good Professional Developer knows how to help teachers help themselves. A good place to start is a Web site of a major textbook publisher. Most offer all sorts of resources aligned to curriculum, and your teachers will find all sorts of helpful ‘goodies’ just by browsing the following sites:
- Pearson/Prentice Hall
- Holt, Rinehart, and Winston
- McDougall Littell’s Class Zone
- SRA/McGraw Hill
- MacMillan McGraw Hill Teacher Island
- Houghton-Mifflin Education Place
- Harcourt School Publishers Learning Site
- Scholastic Teacher Resources
The best part is that one need not be using a specific textbook to take advantage of these excellent classroom resources.
